Vibration

for MIL-STD, ASTM, and Real-World Conditions

Vibration Testing

Clark Testing delivers high-force vibration testing to validate product performance, identify failure points, and meet MIL-STD, ASTM, and ISO requirements.

Our lab supports testing across a wide range of real-world conditions, including transportation, aerospace, military, and industrial environments. Whether you are qualifying a new design or troubleshooting a field failure, our engineers work directly with you to develop accurate and efficient test programs.

We support common industry standards including MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-167, ASTM, ISO, and custom test profiles.

New 44,000 lbf High-Force Shaker System Now Online

Explore Clark Testing’s newly commissioned 44,000 lbf electrodynamic shaker system, designed for demanding vibration, shock, and multi-axis test programs. Built for large assemblies and rigorous MIL-STD qualification, this system expands our capability for complex, real-world testing.

What We Test

We evaluate product performance under controlled vibration environments to ensure durability and compliance, including:

  • Fatigue life and durability
  • Resonant frequency identification
  • Mechanical shock and failure modes
  • Transportation and field simulation

Testing can be performed using sinusoidal, random, or combined vibration profiles depending on your requirements.

Common Vibration Test Types

Sinusoidal Testing
Used to identify resonant frequencies and evaluate product response at specific frequencies.

Random Vibration Testing
Simulates real-world conditions by exposing products to a full spectrum of frequencies.

Sine-on-Random / Combined Profiles
Used for complex environments where multiple vibration inputs occur simultaneously.

Shock & Response Testing (SRS)
Evaluates product performance under sudden impact or shock events.

Real-World Simulation

Our vibration testing capabilities are designed to replicate real operating environments, including:

  • Transportation (rail, shipping, trucking)
  • Aerospace and space launch conditions
  • Military and defense applications
  • Automotive and electric vehicle systems
  • Industrial and mechanical equipment

Test Setup

Clark Testing provides in-house custom design and fabrication capabilities, including machining and welding, to ensure test fixtures accurately simulate real-world environmental conditions. FEA-supported fixture design, along with prefabricated adapter plates, helps streamline testing and improve accuracy.

Instrumentation includes accelerometers and strain gages with multi-channel control and advanced data acquisition systems to ensure precise and reliable test data. All instrumentation is maintained with measurement uncertainty and is compliant with Clark’s ISO 17025 quality program.

Our engineers and technicians document all test activities, including data, observations, and procedures. Final reports include detailed test data, imagery, and documentation to support qualification and compliance requirements.
